Healesville Racing Club

The Healesville Racing Club operates to promote thoroughbred horse racing at the grass roots level of the racing industry. Our aim is to allow the general public to participate in horse racing in the relaxed atmosphere of picnic racing.

A day at the Healesville “Picnics” has gained a reputation as one of Victoria’s great days out. A comfortable 60kms east of Melbourne through the renowned Yarra Valley wine district, the Healesville racecourse is shaded by beautiful elms trees. Mount Rael provides a splendid backdrop for picnic racing at its best.

Sites are available for private groups from 20 guests to 1,000 guests. Events can be as simple as a small group under a marquee in a quiet area or a larger group trackside where you will surely feel you are part of the action as the horses thunder by only metres away.

Ideal for birthdays, corporate days or just a day out.
